1 fish per species. 3 fish limit. Sheephead must be minimum 18" , calico/ sand bass must be 14" . All other size limits are governed by the DFG rules. Weigh in is 3PM SHARP! Our recorder this year is a very rules oriented guy, so he will blow the horn at 3... And as for thinking the coast diver could not win this, I have won it diving the coast, and 2 years ago Rene Rojas won it diving the beach. Which beach is a secret... good spots are like that. Strategy is more important than anything else. If I were a beach diver, I would #1. Find a spot with more than 1 sheephead over 15lb. And, the area had better be a place that holds either WSB or halibut. Don't depend on Yellowtail unless you have a boat. And, if you dive the meet, take some advice: Shoot the first big opaleye you see, to get it over with. Big opaleye win meets. If you wind up with a pair of good fish, but miss your #3 fish, you just might need a big opaleye to win. If you don't take an opaleye, you may be in the!!
