First off Lifeline batteries are great batteries. As for the gel or AGM batteries, you need to really have a proper charger system installed. It is very easy to over volt these batteries and then they are toast. I would stick with lead acid batteries anyday, personally. I am going on six years on my battery system, two 12 volt trojan starting, four 6 volt Trojans for my inverter and four 6 volt trojans for the house. All battery banks are isolated and also able to combine.
