| American Angler 05.23-05.25
Well just returned from a 1.5 day trip on the angler.
Arived to find a light load 21 to be exact.
After loading the rod and boxes we were underway at 6pm.
Boat already had bait so no time to waist.
After getting the normal safety rundown the capt tod us they have had great weather all week BUT this trip was going to be rough (as my luck alawys has it)
woke up at grey light to 20/25 mph winds and a ocean that was hardley fishable.
Captain came down and informed us the LEGEND was taking on water in a big way and that all there passangers were air lifted or put on a Navy distroyer the weather WAS BAD !! (I guess as they were air lifting one female passanger she broke off and landed in the water)
After that we returned to the normal troll troll troll 63.5 water and one lone gig strike a nice 30+ blue fin
Hit a couple of paddys thru out the day with not much love.
We met up with the legend to hand off some diving gear and more pumps now what ever you all have heard I believe it was a lot worse than they told- the front side of the boat had lost paint in aprox 7 foot circle and was heading to colnet at 2 knots
After that we had lunch and a few gig strikes we stayed real close to the inside and agin I have to say it was just horrible weather.
At the end of the day my totals were 1 yellow and one snaper.
On a hi note the crew is outstanding and the capt. was working hard.
I will post a picture latter of what the legend looks like
