After three days of deciding where to fish on Sat, I decided to head out to the 302. Left shelter Island at 5:00 and arrived approx 6:30. Hit up a few patties but nothing home but some sun fish. At about 8:00 decided to start trolling around heading towards the 371. Second pattie I trolled past bam reel went off. I caught my first Yellow tail it was only about 8-12 lbs but it was a fish. It was caught on a large yo zuri mack color.Click the image to open in full size.
Trolled and pattie hopped till approx 9:30 and nothing more. I decided to pull in and head to the 371. Arrived there at approx 10:00. pulled up on a pattie holding some bonito and caught my first one of those. 11:00 or so bite was dead thought I would head to the Islands and see if I could catch a noon bite. Arrived there and the water was terrible dark murkey green. Not a damn thing going on there so i decided to call it a day.

Headed out to La Jolla to try and catch a thresher shark. First made some bait by the kelp then headed out on the canyon. Somone had reported that Barracudas were out by I guess the weather buoy. Headed over and on the way hooked up with a lil threasher pup approx 60 lbs. Pulled the bait o matic out and sent him on his way. Hit the buoy and the cudas were everywhere.
