Got up at 4am Sat morning and went to the sand crab spot and made my bait in about 15 min. Started to get ready to leave when a big set came in and the white wash tipped my bucket and all the sandcrabs where free again
. Started over and it took me about 20 min to remake the bait. Decided to stay where I was and see if there was any fish around the sandcrab bed. Fished the area for 2hrs and got 2 bites and no fish
. Had to leave at 8:30 am to open the shop.
After work (3:30pm) I ran back down to a different beach to use the last of my bait. Waves where 4 to 6' and there was a mean side current and a nice wind to go with it. Fished from 4pm to 6pm and got one 16" corb and one 12" BSP. Here's the pics of the two.
Missed one good fish that took off when I set the hook and it pulled about 10' of line off the reel before the hook pulled
. Wa bummed to miss that one but I still had a good day on the sand.
