What about a middle ground entry? I do both depending on:
a) the contents of my ice chest
b) how hungry I am
c) the size of the fish
d) whether or not there are any parties coming up

When in doubt... fillet and release!!!

Mexico Job:Retired Bio: I used to live in California (La Jolla and Isleton (that's in the Delta near Sacramento)) and managed to harass all sorts of fish (and crawdads) in both areas.
