Yes, that is foolish. Some things to consider.1, He is world class. 2, he is only using a 2-3mm suit, not the 1/4" we use in Ca. 3. He rode a weight down, looked to be 5-8lb of weight. He went in and 2nd shot a fish already on in a hole.
I went 122ft. in 2004 while scouting for the national championships in Hawaii, and spent literally days diving between 75-110 ft. All freediving. And the difference between 100-110 ft is about the difference between a 10lb kelp paddy yellow, and a 50lb mossback. The extra 10ft is very difficult. I have been only 8 ft shy, and I can't imagine pushing for that last 8 ft, even to try and save a friend. Crazy.
