My first crack at an Elk with a bow I shook so bad I could have mixed a milkshake with my hands
I didn't get full draw and ended up hitting him in the ass which gave poor penetration on the hip bone causing the arrow to flop harmlessy away. Major bummed.
Sometimes delaying the kill is even better, you have gotten the taste of it and have it to look forward to. Bow is so much more fun than rifle season. One actually gets to see game in a natural state, not running for the hills at top speed. Thanks for sharing!
