Went out on the twilight boat with helgrens as a deckhand in training. Trying to see if I can make a few extra extra bucks in the evenings and weekends. Anyhow, we fished the barn kelp(I think, kelp about 30 minutes north of the dock) Anyhow, no one was catching much, macks and sculpin was about it. A gent hooks into somethig big, 15 minutes, much running and cutting of others lines to clear them and a huge black seabass is on the surface. Not sure how big they get but this thing was pushing a hundred pounds. Anyhow, everyone snapped a few pictures and let him go home. That made the trip, other than that it was slim pickins. A few sandbass, a couple calicos, one little barricuda, plenty of macks. Anyhow, I'll go on for my second night of training tonight, Captain Tim said if I still like it after a few times he'd do the paper work on me to be a part time employee and get paid normal.
