Last year I was thinking that the boat has to be paid somehow.

This year, I am thinking how to pay the damn fuel bill.

Is there an end time or just make it to a weigh station by 6:00pm deal?

The way I read it is the deadline to weigh your fish is 6:00pm. There appears to be no "lines out" time but rather fish untill you safely feel you can make it back to the weigh in dock by the cutoff time of 6:00pm.

Below is rule #12

12. Weigh-in - All fish must be weighed at an official tournament weight station at either Dana Landing Fuel Dock or Harbor Island West Fuel Dock in SD Bay between 2:00pm and 6:00pm on the tournament day. ANY FISH CAUGHT BUT NOT WEIGHED IN BY 6:00pm TOURNAMENT DAY SHALL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO WIN.

Keep in mind guys, this is big bucks and even though I have nothing to do with this tourny you can bet that a team(s) who weighs a qualifying fish will most likely be looking at their watch very very carefully at the straglers showing up last minute to weigh.

I do this many times in tournys and will keep an eye on my watch like a hawk and make it known right away to the weighmaster that the deadline is up right when the clock hits the deadline, so dont be late or think someone is going to give you a break even if it is one minute.

Lastly, you guys that are going to the captains meeting should bring a notepad and pencil or pen and write down any pertinet info that possibly comes up. Also make a note of questions you may have and jot them down beforehand as second guessing while on the water and fishing the tourny is flirting with failuar.

Read the rules inside & out and know them!!!

Good luck!

The unknown fisherman
