Palo Verdes lings, sculpins, bass, goats 5/8

Last minute launch solo on the Kammel Driver. Snuck down to the pv area with half a scopp of diners the size of mackerel. Had some death squid so everything was good. Nice morning dead flat too bad I didn't have more time. First cast sandy on a red flake swim bait. Proceeded to have a nice pick on a lot of species. Water was cold and dirty with lots of bait in the area. Very little current but a nice warm day with no wind. Finished off the day at the outside of the shoe for a nice pick on rockfish in the 200 ft range. Was a nice relaxing day. I had forgotten how nice it can be in shore NOT. I was still missing the drag burning offshore action. Tons of bait on the shoe with birds everywhere, that area will be good this week. Pv temp 57 and the shoe in the pm was 61.5

Totals

10 sculpins all legal
6 lings one legal
6 sandies 2 shorts and the rest legal
4 starry rockfish
4 sheepsheads nice size just starting to turn color.
1 barber pole over a pound.

All fish releashed to catch again next week except the barber pole was kept for tacos.
