I failed to notice that allot of these recommendations are coming from dudes who have not had their balls drop yet. Once your balls drop and you get bigger including your hands your opinion might change.

When spool shrinks at a rapid rate line has MORE resistance coming off the spool. For a extreme example take a CT250 and empty allot of the spool. Not to the point of where you will take it to the knot but take allot of line off. Now manually pull the line off with your hand and let me know if there is more resistance then when the spool is full. Tiny spool means line has more resistance coming off. Or maybe this is easier to understand. If your spool needs to make 20 spins to dump the same amount of line off as my spool doing 15 spins figure it out. Same brand reel Newell. Or if your spool starts out only needing a few spins to dump 25 feet off and by the end of your cast it needs twice the amount of spins you just severely slowered your spool down and got less line off.

Once spool starts to disintegrate a 338 is going to take less spins to dump 250 feet off then your 332 dumping 250 feet off. 332 needs more rotations then 338. I like to get the most out of my spins. I find it odd no one has jumped in.

And Jtap dude give it up. I never claimed yardage. I claimed I can really empty that spool thus it weakens my cast. In the stern, wind assistance, hook being pulled boat moving up, I fire , yep 332 spool is going to be very small by the time my jig hits the water. By then end of my cast that spool will need to turn like 40 times just to dump another few feet off. More spins.

Nice to see who can fire and who cant, I can tell just by this thread.

Okay back to my room.

Bombs away.
