On that stick I use a Cal Star 6485L, it is rated as a 20 (30) 40 stick so i think 30 is ideal and the reel is also rated for 30. It can handle 40 but I use a 90J for 40 and a Torium 20 on that. The reel was a gift so I put it on a 90J.
