Thanks for your help. I noticed on the dropper loop in the drawing that the hook stays in place. The one I was using slid up and down maybe 14" either way, and what I think was happening was, when I was dragging it across the bottom during the drift the hook would slid down level with the weight and was dragging the bottom along with the weight. Thanks again.
