Work was slow this week so I did a couple 2 hour sessions in the middle of the day yesterday and today. The silver sc shiners catching about a rainbow every 30 minutes and some crappie bycatch. Nothing huge. A chunky 4 pounder today. Most of the trout put on an aerial show today with multiple jumps. I witnessed a lunker being caught on the troll at mid lake today. The dudes were screaming and high fiving. The went straight to the tackle shop to weigh it in. Some other guy bragged about a 10 pounder as we trolled by eachother today, but I saw no proof. He said he had limits on the firetiger rapala. Also yesterday, a couple guys in a rental boat were killing it on the troll in boat dock cove using firetigers. They showed me what looked to be a 7 or 8 pounder. I guess the trout do not mind the hot weather . Kinda strange that the fish have not moved deep. I caught most of my fish near the buoy line at the damn and mid lake. I was told that the bait soakers are getting limits in Sierra Cove. The west shore is only accessible by boat now , and Woodys Cove is about 2 inches away from the water flowing over the road bed and filling up. Tight Lines !
