I would like to sell my Avon Rover, R3-10. You can use up to a 10 HP motor. Total weight persons, motor, gear is over 900 pounds (I think its 934 lbs or close to that). I used a Yamaha 10 HP 4 stroke and it went on a plane nicely. I sold the motor a few years ago, and the Avon has been in the garage for a few years (I bought a whaler). The boat was always washed after use, and never left in the water or in the sun for an extended period of time after use. But when it was in the water I used the boat, mostly always at the island. It has a 3 piece wood floor.
The only thing I can think of negatively is that once I rounded Long Point in rough weather and the rear corner of the floor split and put a very small hole in the tube near where the inside floor meets the tube. I patched this small hole, and then also layed a patch where I saw minor rubbing scuff marks where the floor rubbed against the material down low. Although this was not necessary I did it to be extra cautious for the future. The wood floor that cracked was replaced with a new piece (same marine wood the factory used). The board I made is identical to stock, and looks better since it's newer. I have been a boat owner all my life and I can cut, sand, stain, and varnish with the best of them.
I briefly took it out of the bag and took 2 pictures. I think the boat is 15 years old, I bought it new.
