The time has come for me to upgrade to a larger/newer boat, and to put a few dollars into my magazine. So, it's time to sell the baby. She's a great boat and has treated me well. Just recently I did the yearly maintence (impellar, plugs, wires, points) Also I replumbed the bait tank to eliminate some excess hoses and felt it was time for new hose anyhow.
The Boat- She is an aluminum 1972 21' Starcraft with a 7'6'' beam. Has an enclosed bow that is used for storage(leaving the deck for fishing room). She was barely painted just about 12 months ago with quality marine paint from West Marine. She has 7 rod holders for fishing and 6-8 for storing rods. All upholstery has been added new and the engine cover was just recently upholstered. Gauge board was also pained. Tempo fuel filter was also installed, works great. She has a 35 Gal. fuel talk and she gets a really great 4 MPG at a cruise any where from 17-22 MPH. Her range is 140 miles but I have never gone that far, A usual trip is around 50-75 miles. Great boat for Anacapa, Santa Cruz, and anywhere 40-50 miles out. On rough days she will get wet, but just raise the bennett hydraulic Trim Tabs so your bow is up high, and you wont have much of a problem.
Accessories- She has a big bimini top for shade, and she folds down frontwards to give you all the fishing room you need. Seats were also purchased new a year ago. She has 2 marine batteries. Bennet Trim Tabs. Pacific Edge 2 scoop bait tank with 500 GPH bait pump, and 700 GPH pump-out. She has a new fuel filter and water separator. She has a 500 GPH bildge pump. Fire extinguisher to the left of the first mates seat. 14 Anchor with 25' chain and 200 of rope.
Electronics- Furuno LS6100 with thru-hull transducer, great little unit, Garmin GPS/Chartplotter, West Marine Aurora plus VHF with Shakespeare 5206 antenna. Ritchie Compass (this model is what all the pros use).
Engine- She has a 1986-87 Volvo-Penta AQ-131-A 120 HP engine. 12 months ago we put in new heads on her and put in a new impellor for the water pump. New fuel filter and water sepator. Gets 4 MPG. Great little engine, and I loved getting 4 MPG, every trip was so in-expensive.
Trailor- The trailor is a 2002 AROS trailor. Brand new. I have all the reciepts and it costed $1,600.00 for the trailor. It has around 800-900 miles. This trailor will last many more years. She has no breaks because boat and trailor weigh so little, even a little pick-up truck like a Tocoma can tow it. Hell even an El Camino can tow this boat.
Also got the 2 downriggers (Hey guys, well I got these two downriggers about 2 years ago because I was hoping they would be better years for salmon, but the salmon havent popped up and we just have no use for them. Kind of a bummer cause they costed alot, with all those extra things that they got.
Model 5586
Ideal companion 'rigger for the Commander 3000 manual. Mounts on a #5560, quick release base plate. Just slide it into the base's key hole slot, tighten the knob and you're locked in. Stainless bases are clean and unobstructive when your downriggers are removed
Retail Price
$180.00
Double rod holder kit
$35.00Big Jon Swivel base and Ball Cradle that is no longer made retailed at 100.00 each
18" Extended Hairtrigger-With self-locating snap and the release. Were $8.79 each2 New 8 pound downrigger balls were 15 bucks each.Thats around 330.00 MRSP each, and thats before taxes. And everything is new besides the actual riggers, which work perfect.) A total retail of $660.00 for FREE, for Get Bent members.
Bottom line this a great boat. You will not find a bigger or better boat that gets you 4 MPG at any speed and new trailor for this price.
$4,000.00 take it off my hands. My loss is your gain.
Prices are already super low, so they are pretty firm...
The boat as it is right now needs some work. All the wood sanded and stained again (5 bucks) and a good cleaning. Let me know, email me here.

One thing not pictured is the GPS I just bought a few months ago. It is a Garmin GPSMAP 182 and has a blue Nav chip for everything from Oregon to Lower Mexico.
